Embudo Station

Patio Dining At the Embudo Station restaurant you might choose to enjoy our succulent barbequed ribs, charbroiled steaks, grilled chicken, or a variety of authentic New Mexican dishes. People travel for miles to enjoy our unique oak smoked rainbow trout. There are many vegetarian choices, as well as salads, on our menus. Lunches feature choices of sandwiches, including our famous Brisket Sandwich. Along with these choices, try one of our fresh brewed beers or a glass of award winning local wine.

In the fall of 1983, we found Embudo Station, the last remaining intact 1880's narrow gauge railroad station. Sold by the Denver & Rio 'Grande Western Railway in 1940, the station complex is a piece of real 'western' history located between Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico.

Embudo Station Smoked Trout During the renovations, our first smokehouse was built. We started preparing smoked and barbequed foods for our riverside restaurant. With our growing loyal friends and customers and a new larger smokehouse, we now deliver more quality smoked hams and turkeys for the holidays. We use only the finest meats and fish available. The natural flavor you taste comes from attention and care for our quality products.

Stop by Embudo Station and pick up some micro-brewed beers for the holiday- made here at our brewery. In the spring and summer, we'll be rafting on the Rio Grande' river. Please join us for a relaxing 'float trip'.

We now have a guest cabin for rent either by the day or weekly. Our main restaurant will closed for the winter, but our smaller 'bistro' restaurant will be open for sandwiches and beer on a limited schedule and our Winery is open for wine tasting on the weekends. Call us on the 800 number for details. See you soon!
